Working in partnership with local antenatal teams, this group have embedded oral health education into routine antenatal care through interactive teaching sessions, reaching families who may not normally access dental services. Sessions cover key topics such as common oral health changes in pregnancy, preventative strategies for early childhood caries, and tailored oral hygiene and dietary advice. This year alone they have worked with over 430 parents. Engaging presentations, practical demonstrations and goodie bags reinforce learning and encourages positive behaviour change at home.
HIPPOH creates meaningful, lasting change within the local community and empowers families with the knowledge to establish lifelong healthy habits.
