Early on in the academic year, the University hosts the annual Volunteering & Social Justice Fair. With around a hundred charities and not-for-profit organisations attending, this event gives you a great chance to find your ideal volunteering opportunity.

Student Volunteering Week is an annual event celebrating student volunteering in all its glory! Hosted each year in February, the University's Volunteering and Awards Team and the Students' Union Volunteering & Fundraising Team organise a variety of exciting events for you to get involved in.
The University of Manchester's Volunteer of the Year Awards are part of the Make a Difference Awards and take place annually in May each year. Each year they celebrate the contributions of University students, both individual and groups.
Nominations open in January each year, with a closing date in early March. Winners are then announced at a ceremony in early May.
Deadline for you to log your volunteering hours (on the Volunteer Hub) to enable you to achieve the Stellify Award as well as the Manchester Leadership Programme certificate (if you are participating in that).
