Recruitment and selection - Assistant Project Leader:

- Selection day Saturday 23rd March. Candidates shortlisted from the interviews will be invited to the selection day where the final decision will be made.

Training and induction:
- Training weekend 1: Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April
- Training weekend 2: Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April
- ‘It Won’t Happen to Me’: Wednesday 1st May 5-6pm
- Project preparation: Thursday 6th and Friday 7th June
Team Member volunteers will also be required to spend time reaching their £500 fundraising target and do some voluntary preparation in the UK before going out to Uganda.
Travel to Uganda:
- Departing from the UK on Saturday 20th July
- Returning back into the UK on Sunday 18th August
On return:
- Returned volunteers event: Date to be confirmed for early October
- On return all volunteers will be required to engage in other returned volunteers’ activity, including writing a report and making a presentation to donors and helping to promote international volunteering to other students
- There will also be the opportunity to continue to volunteer with S.A.L.V.E. in the UK
