Denisse started a project called Voceras in 2019, which translate into 'Female Spokesperson' to showcase women experts in Peruvian media. Voceras offers media training and writing workshops for women and people that self-identifies as women working in a wide array of areas of expertise, and most notably, those where women are under-represented as crime, finance, technology, among others. It also offers informative sessions to media outlets to persuade them to include more women as panellists, columnists and interviewees.
Alongside her doctoral research, every time Denisse goes to Peru for fieldwork, she conducts workshops. She combines her research on corruption with the increasing the visibility of women and people that identify as women in media and academia.
