This toolkit aims to help you with planning, managing and evaluating a fundraising project, whether you’ve never fundraised before or just want to brush up on your skills.

You will learn more about various different elements of fundraising including:
  • Planning, organising and promoting a fundraising event
  • Making your fundraising safe, legal and appropriate
  • Fundraising online
  • How fundraising can boost your employability.
The toolkit is designed to be modular so you can pick and choose which sections you want to work through. Please contact Manchester RAG for tailored advice and support with your fundraising.
We can offer a safeguarding online training that has been designed for you if you're volunteering with children and young people. This online module will help you to develop a basic understanding of keeping children safe. By completing it you will have the chance to:
  • Understand the different types of abuse and how to recognise them;
  • Understand and follow good practice guidelines when working with children and young people;
  • Think through what to do if you have concerns about the safety of a child or young person.
The online course will take about one hour to complete. If you also successfully complete the short assessment at the end, you will receive an e-certificate proving that you have completed the course.
This will help you demonstrate how you can use your volunteering to improve your employability when seeking a graduate role. The course specifically focuses on:
  • C.V.s
  • Application forms
  • Interviews
See the Volunteer for your Career section for details of the online module. The online course will take about one hour to complete or you can just complete a section at a time.
